Q. Does frequent drycleaning shorten the life of a garment?

A. On the contrary, frequent cleaning prolongs the life of a garment.  Not only do stains set with age, making the garment unwearable, but ground in dirt and soil act as an abrasive, like sandpaper, causing rapid wear of fibres. 

 

Also, insects are attracted to many stains and soiled clothes, and could cause further damage.

 

Q. When a garment says "washable," does this mean it cannot be drycleaned?

A. Not necessarily.  The Care Lable Rule states that only one suitable method must be on the lable.  We usually follow the care instructions, unless otherwise requested.  If you want your washable items drycleaned, we may ask your permission.

 

Q.  Are suede and leathers cleaned the same way as other fabrics?

A. No.  Other procedures and additives are used on leathers to help them retain color and texture.  Sometimes suedes and leathers are redyed to replace color loss.  It is not always possible to replace or match color loss.

 

Q. Does drycleaning shrink clothes?

A. No.  The drycleaning process is carefully controlled by us.  Excessive shrinkage us usually caused by improper preshrinking by the manufacutrer.

 

Q.  Can you safely stretch fabrics?

A.  We can steam-finish and stretch fabrics that have relaxed in drycleaning.  This will NOT damage the fabric.

 

Q.  Should I store my clean garments in the plastic bag they are returned in?

A.  The bags we provide are to protect the garment(s) until you bring them home.  It is best to store the garments uncovered or in fabric garment bags.

 

Q.  Is there any charge for delivery?

 A. No, the prices you pay are the same as in our plant.

Q.  Where do you pick up and drop off my garments?

A. You choose the location you would like our driver to pick up and drop off.  For example "front porch", "back deck" or if you would prefer to give us your key pad garage code we'll leave them in your garage.

 

Q. What type of bag should I use for first time pick up?

A. We will provide you with TWO personalized bags for your cleaning. The first time just put your cleaning in a plastic bag with your name.  We will leave one bag and door hanger for future use and put your plastic bag in the other bag, bring it to our plant and process your garments.

 

Q. Do I have to be there when drop off or pick up is made?

A. No.  There is no need to be at home to use the service.  Our driver will pick up and drop off in the pre-designated location.

 

Q. How do I pay for the service?

A. Your cleaning will be charged to your VISA or Master Card on the day of delivery.
